Dan & Patti Rashke (TASC) Family Foundation Make a Lasting Investment in Dane County.

United Way of Dane County is proud to announce a transformational commitment from longtime supporters and community leaders, Dan and Patti Rashke, through their Dan & Patti Rashke (TASC) Family Foundation.

This generous gift is a powerful investment in the future of our community – and in the people who make that future possible.

Enhancing Donor Impact Through Operational Support

Over the next ten years, the Dan & Patti Rashke (TASC) Family Foundation will fully fund the administrative costs (operating and fundraising expenses) associated with all individual, undesignated donations made to United Way of Dane County.

By covering these costs — an estimated total of $10 million to $15 million — this gift ensures that 100% of undesignated gift to United Way’s Plan for Community Well-Being goes directly toward resolving the greatest needs in our community – a rare and remarkable advantage that few organizations can offer.

Dan and Patti Rashke are the owners of TASC, where Dan served until recently as CEO. They are the founders of the Dan and Patti Rashke (TASC) Family Foundation, where Patti serves as President. For decades, they have been generous supporters of United Way of Dane County, United Way Foundation and proud members of the Tocqueville Society.

Dan and Patti have been donors, volunteers and leaders with United Way of Dane County for over 30 years. Through their long-standing involvement, they have witnessed the power of our strong organization to multiply impact across a community.

“As long-time supporters of United Way, we’ve had a front-row seat to the organization’s lasting impact on our community. Its collaborative, strategic and innovative approach to addressing the region’s most pressing challenges reflects our own philanthropic mission. And more importantly, it’s working.” Dan and Patti Rashke

At the heart of Dan and Patti’s gift is a desire to inspire others — to give what they can, when they can and to believe that all giving matters.

“At the Dan and Patti Rashke (TASC) Family Foundation, we strive to be strategic and innovative with our philanthropy. Successful giving should catalyze others to follow suit, amplifying and magnifying the donation in service to solving community challenges. Giving can be contagious. In addition to our own giving, we want to inspire others to give (or give more) — whether that’s time, money, or both. We want to create a community of everyday philanthropists who give what they can. Because philanthropy is not the size of the check. It literally means goodwill to fellow humans.

We’re hopeful that a recent commitment we’ve made to the United Way of Dane County will energize the everyday philanthropists across the region.” Dan and Patti Rashke

A Catalytic Act of Leadership and Transformational Giving

“Dan and Patti Rashke’s gift is a reflection of who they are — thoughtful, visionary and deeply committed to the well-being of our community. For over 30 years, they’ve led with generosity, humility and a belief that true change comes from working together. This gift is not only transformational in size — it’s transformational in impact. By covering administrative costs tied to individual, undesignated donations, they are ensuring that every dollar given by our community members goes directly to solving Dane County’s most urgent and complex challenges through our Plan for Community Well-Being. It’s a catalytic act of leadership that multiplies giving, removes barriers and empowers every person to be part of something bigger. Their legacy is inspiring a culture of everyday philanthropy that will shape Dane County for generations to come. We are profoundly grateful to Dan and Patti.” Renee Moe, President & CEO, United Way of Dane County
