Our BoardWalk Academy is designed to develop and strengthen the skills needed to serve as an informed and active member of either a local non-profit’s board of directors, or in other volunteer leadership positions. To assist with the financial strains that often manifest as barriers to participation for members of this specific target audience, dinner, transportation, and childcare will be made available during the evening training sessions. And, in 2019 – for the first time – $25/hour stipends will be made available for those selected to participate, unless this professional development opportunity is employer-sponsored.
