Rosenberry Thanksgiving Basket Drive

For the past 30 years, Goodman Community Center‘s Thanksgiving Basket Drive has become a tradition, with many long-serving staff volunteers and their children returning year after year to assist with Thanksgiving Basket packing and distribution. This year, Rosenberry has chosen this opportunity as our Signature Volunteer Event and we are looking to fill nearly 30 spots throughout the weekend!

Sat, November 17, 11:15-2:30 pm – FULL
Sat, November 17, 2:00 – 5:30 pm – FULL
Sun, November 18, 2:00 – 5:30 pm – FULL

To be added to the wait list, email uwdcberry@uwdc.org with shift preference.

We will be assisting with Basket Distribution:
– Volunteers will help check-in attendees, deliver baskets to the front line, and distribute baskets to recipients.
– Volunteers will be working both inside and outside, and layered warm weather wear (hats, coats, and gloves) are recommended.
– Volunteers will be lifting and carrying heavy bags of groceries, as well as standing and walking through the whole shift.

When signing up for a shift, please ensure you are available for the entire time. Due to the extremely large number of volunteers GCC works with to make Thanksgiving Baskets a success, shifts may not be shortened or split.
