The network of social services is vast and complicated. By calling 2-1-1 people get connected with a specialist who can help navigate the system.
Whether you need financial assistance, food resources, housing search, addiction treatment, health care, mental health, or heating and utilities assistance, our specialists will talk to you to find out what you need and walk you through all the options to find the right service or program to fit your needs.
We use Language Line services and are able to use interpreters fluent in over 240 language.
United Way 2-1-1 was officially launched in Dane County on June 11, 2002. In 2004 we were instrumental in the creation of 211 Wisconsin, an effort to ensure all 72 counties in Wisconsin had access to 2-1-1 services.
