non-profit agencies and volunteers are strong partners in achieving measurable results.

Dave always had a knack for home repairs. Now he uses this talent to better the lives of seniors in his community, allowing them to remain independent in their homes.
By volunteering his time to Middleton Outreach Ministry, a United Way partner agency, Dave Schwartz has helped many people. Through his involvement with Project for Older People, Dave helps seniors and people living with disabilities remain independent in their homes. Using his talent for home repair, Dave brings his own tools to realign cupboards, fix latches, and clean gutters, in addition to helping with yard work. He does all of these crucial tasks in order to ensure these community members remain independent. He also volunteers at a local food pantry, shopping for groceries; and loading, delivering, and unloading truckloads of food for local families. With volunteeryourtime.org, United Way 2-1-1, and the United Way Volunteer Center, United Way is helping connect people like Dave to volunteer opportunities throughout Dane County, making our partner agencies and our entire community stronger.
