Bridge Lakepointe • Senior Program builds a caring, inclusive and safe neighborhood where seniors feel valued. It helps seniors sustain their independence and self-determination by participating in educational and life-long learner opportunities, and it will remove pockets of isolation and provide culturally competent services.

Vera Court Children • Offers a safe environment for neighborhood youth to access services six days a week at no cost. Includes positive, enjoyable experiences that are alternatives to unsupervised activities in the neighborhood. Maintains a home-like environment in which they can learn and practice social skills.

Vera Court Community Assistance • Provides "street level" outreach, support and linkage to the neighborhood. Vera Court Girl Neighborhood Power helps pre-adolescent girls build successful futures, negotiating the difficult transition from childhood to adolescence with self-confidence, physical health and career aspirations. Ensuring that participants perform well in school and have a positive school experience is critical to the goals of the program. Through an academic focus, staff will empower girls to make healthy decisions regarding school, home, community and self.

Goodman/United Way Youth Leadership • Collaborative program with East Madison and Kennedy Heights community centers to provide leadership development for youth, ages 10 to 16 from these neighborhoods.

RIZ • Developed from community input and parental concern about their youth’s success in school, this program requires students to enroll, set personal and academic goals and sign a contract committing to attend both the program and school each day. Program works with teachers, students and families to ensure student success in school.

Youth • Includes an eight-week enrolled summer camp and an after-school program. Summer camp emphasizes community service and leadership development. The after school program focuses on positive peer relations, community service and increasing the ability to succeed in school. The College Preparation Program, an additional element of the youth program, is a year-round, progressive program that will take root in 5th grade, branch out through the middle school years and take on a full curriculum in a College Preparation course offered to high school students in the Vera Court Neighborhood and surrounding areas.
