Children of Violent Homes • Provides both intervention and prevention services and treatment for young children who have been exposed to domestic violence. Early Intervention Children's Mental Health Goal of program is to provide similar prevention/early intervention mental health services on-site consultation/training for early childhood educators in program in Dane Co outside Madison, in order to reduce the risk of more serious problems from occurring in the future. Increasing numbers of children community-wide have reportedly been discharged from preschool programs due to behavior problems and social/emotional development concerns that interfere with their ability to function in their programs, including 4 year old kindergarten programs.

Grandparents Raising Young Grandchildren • This program works to help grandparents who are raising their grandchildren meet their own needs and the needs of their grandchildren.

Mothering Beyond Fear and Sadness • A therapeutic support/education group for moms with mood disorder, including post partum depression. Purpose is to strengthen confidence, knowledge, support, resources, parenting skills and parent-child relationships of mothers with mood disorders who have young children. Goal is to reduce risks and generational cycles of mental illness and respond to requests for services to those not involved in the child protection system.

Spanish Speaking Child & Family Therapist • An innovative approach to solving the short and long term efforts to secure a Spanish speaking therapist. This organization proactively engages graduate students who are bilingual Spanish speaking and interested in gaining exceptional on the job training as a child and family therapist.

Respite/Crisis Child Care & Parent Support Services • This program provides emergency respite childcare, short-term counseling and information and referral to families. This preventative service strengthens families, relieves stress experienced by parents in crisis and helps families avoid out-of-home placement (foster care, etc.) of their children.

Predolin Housing First: Rapid ReHousing • In this Housing First model, homeless families are placed in permanent housing as quickly as possible and are provided stabilizing support services to prevent a recurrence of homelessness. The Rapid Rehousing Program, funded by a special grant from the Predolin Foundation, is a collaborative effort of The Road Home (formerly IHN), the Salvation Army, and the YWCA Madison. The program provides initial housing access costs, limited term shallow subsidy and intensive goal oriented case management to 45 Dane County families with minor children. The program relies on strong partnerships with local landlords. Rapid Rehousing goals include identifying families who are able to achieve stability with strong emphasis on establishing child focused housing stability and include: 1) move homeless families quickly out of shelter into affordable permanent housing, 2) help families successfully maintain stable housing, 3) assist families in working toward their personal goals.

Housing Stabilization • Provides daily case management to families in order to help them attain permanent housing, stable income and access to other needed services such as child care, legal services and education.

Schools of Hope • In partnership with United Way, Madison Metropolitan School District, Sun Prairie Area School District, Verona Area School District and the Corporation for National and Community Service, RSVP recruits Americorps members to participate in the coordination, supervision and training for volunteers who serve as trained tutors focused on reading readiness in the elementary grades.
