English as a Second Language Tutoring • Maintains one-to-one tutoring for adults who are learning to speak English as a second language. Students are matched with trained volunteers and utilize an individualized, goal-oriented learning program.

Basic Literacy Tutoring Program • Maintains one-to-one tutoring for adults who speak English as their native language but lack basic literacy skills. Students are matched with trained volunteers and utilize an individualized, goal-oriented learning program.

Family Literacy • Provides English as Second Language (ESL) students with the English reading, writing and speaking skills necessary to lead their children to develop literacy skills and habits. Parents will gain the ability to work with their children as they both learn to communicate in an English language oriented society.

ESL Resource Building • This program helps non-English speaking adults become self-supporting members through learning English language skills and critical thought process development skills for achievement of the GED or other professional certification. Also provides general life skills and increased assertiveness skills training that focus on self-esteem and promotion in the workplace.

English In The Schools • EIS provides the information, incentive, and opportunity necessary for English Language Learner parents to become successful advocates for their children's education throughout their school years.

Community Literacy • Neighborhood based literacy program offering on-site volunteer tutoring for community residents to begin learning immediately rather than waiting on a list for a volunteer one-on-one tutor to become available. Tailored curriculum will help learners attain functional literacy goals in employment or helping their children learn because of participation in the program.

Building Education and Technology Skills • Provide older adults with absolute beginner and beginner computer classes through a partnership with North East Side Senior Coalition. Computer classes provide senior citizens with an increased quality of life through on-going learning, increased access to information through the Internet, the ability to communicate using electronic mail, and the opportunity to meet other seniors with similar interests.

Elementary After School Drop In and Summer Camp • Provides a safe, structured supervised afterschool drop-in and summer program for elementary age children residing in the Wexford Ridge neighborhood.

Jefferson Youth Resource Center • Offers a safe, structured supervised after school drop in and summer program for youth ages 12 to 15 in the neighborhood. It addresses the specific developmental needs of pre-adolescent youth, is multicultural in scope and focuses on Academic Enrichment, Community Service, Social and Life Skills, Health and Fitness, and Recreation and Exploration.

Support, Outreach and Leadership Project • Recruits and trains residents as tenant representatives and advocates. Provides referral and outreach services to residents and serves as liaison to Center Staff.
