Group Volunteer Opportunities
United Way Volunteer Center
The United Way Volunteer Center can help you find a volunteer opportunity for your group. Before you contact the Volunteer Center have the answers to the following questions ready…
1) How large is your group?
2) When do you want to do your project? (time, date and length of project)
3) What kind of activities are you interested in?
4) Does your group have any restrictions or special requirements (i.e. indoor projects only)
5) Who is the main contact for your project?
The Volunteer Center can assist you in finding some projects that may work for your group. Please call (608) 246-4380 or email volctr@uwdc.org. Also, you may browse our Calendar on www.volunteeryourtime.org to find upcoming volunteer opportunities that may be appropriate for your group.
Days of Caring
Days of Caring is an annual three day volunteer event held at the end of August. Volunteers from companies and organizations are able to make a difference by giving their time to improve our community. Projects are completed at different agencies throughout Dane County to advance our community’s Agenda for Change. To make sure your company is signed up to participate in the next Days of Caring, contact Baruch Moskovits, bmoskovits@uwdc.org.
Ready-Made Volunteer Projects
For volunteer groups interested in connecting directly with a community agency to plan and complete service, United Way has outlined a number of “ready-made” group projects. These potential group projects range from gardening to clothing drives to meal deliveries. Your group may review our list of ready-made projects here and contact the host agency for further details.
