Get Your Company Involved
Dane County’s local businesses, unions and other organizations offer a strong foundation of support for United Way. Not only do they invest in improving Dane County, they also provide networks for communicating United Way’s mission. It is through their commitment to the community that we are able to tackle the root causes of problems and create lasting solutions. Here are ways you and your business can get involved:
Make a Corporate Pledge
Area businesses can make a contribution directly to United Way, and in most cases, the gift is tax deductible. To find out how your business can make a difference, call (608) 246-4351.
Hold an Employee Campaign
Give your employees the opportunity to support their community. United Way has the resources to help you set up a fun and effective employee campaign in your work place. Call (608) 246-4351 to find out more.
Volunteer on a United Way Committee
Volunteer committees are the core of United Way of Dane County, determining the scope and direction of United Way’s actions. Contact the United Way Volunteer Center at (608) 246-4380 to find out what opportunities exist.
Loan an Employee
Want to strengthen your talent pool, give a high-performing employee an opportunity to interact with hundreds of local businesses and improve our community’s quality of life at the same time?
Consider loaning an employee, what we call a “Loaned Executive” or LE. This Campaign Account Manager position will develop one or more of your employees and drive United Way’s Campaign success. Call (608) 246-4351 to find out more.
Join the Business Volunteer Network (BVN)
Businesses are uniting to share their methods of developing and enhancing employee volunteer programs.
Still not sure how to become involved?
United Way would be happy to meet with you or put you in touch with other organizations that support the campaign. Please call (608) 246-4351 for more information. We hope to hear from you soon!
