AmeriCorps Coordinator - Part Time

Seeking a highly organized, goal oriented, problem solver to fill a half-time AmeriCorps Coordinator position. Responsibilities include supporting the administrative aspects of the United Way of Dane County Volunteer Mobilization partnership, including assisting with recruiting AmeriCorps members, compiling and submitting reports, tracking program implementation and participating in AmeriCorps meetings and events, along with other project staff. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong time and project management skills, the ability to balance multiple tasks, and demonstrated ability to use MS Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint a must. Experience with federal or state grant programs, especially AmeriCorps, desirable. Must successfully pass a criminal history background check. Assistant Director of Communications & Community Engagement

Seeking a dynamic, experienced public and media relations professional to develop communications and community engagement activities to expand community awareness, volunteers, advocates and donors for UWDC's mission and the Agenda for Change. The ideal candidate has a record of success in creating and developing strong media relationships and implementing effective integrated marketing strategies within a fast paced and multi-faceted environment. Must demonstrate ability to create and develop network of quality community relationships, successfully motivate and inspire staff and volunteers, and demonstrate superior written, interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to work well with a variety of people and handle multiple projects with accuracy also needed. This profile would typically be met by a candidate with a relevant Bachelors' degree and/or 8+ years experience in strategic, market-driven communications and media relations programs including social media.
