Does your agency/organization want to become a 2-1-1 PLUS site?
United Way 2-1-1 PLUS (Partnership Links Unity Support) sites are selected to reach people who will benefit from 2-1-1, but who do not have the means to access it by phone or computer. These sites are crucial because they provide the means to reach out and help more people providing an opportunity for organizations to come together and support the community. The site provides a place for staff to direct individuals to find resources that the organization does not provide themselves. The role as a 2-1-1 PLUS site is to provide a computer, and/or a telephone to help connect people to resources.
2-1-1 PLUS sites are a partnership between 2-1-1 and the agency to work together to help people find the services and resources they need in difficult times. 2-1-1 PLUS sites are available to people from all walks of life and each site connects community members to 2-1-1 where we provide people with information about community resources. PLUS sites can be located at places such as resource centers, food pantries, local non-profits or hospitals.
If you would like to become a 2-1-1 PLUS site please email unitedway2-1-1@uwdc.org or call 2-1-1.
